Hereford cattle Breed of cattle from a place called , Herefordshire, England, and most likely descended from primitive cattle of the country . There color is red with white faces and white markings. They were brought to United States most likely in 1817 by Henry Clay, they are now the predominating breed on the ranges between Canada and Mexico. A polled (hornless) Hereford strain has been developed in the United States by selective breeding. Herefords are widely raised in South America and Australia. |
