Iguana This large lizard of tropical America, and summon the Pacific islands, and the West Indies. Its color is greenish which blends in with its surroundings tree branches overhanging running water. It has a length 3 to 6 ft. long from its neck to the long tail is a crest of spiny scales. Iguanas feed on the leaves, fruits, and sometimes small animals. Their flesh is eaten in some countries. In the Galapagos Islands a marine and land species exist. |
