 Weasel A small aggressive carnivorous animal belonging to the genus (mustela), which also includes the stoat from Europe. Weasels are found on both continents Europe, Asia, North America. During the season's they have various colors which are brown above and white below,during the winter the weasels that live in snowy regions turn all white except for the dark tale.
Being bold they are savage hunters of prey, which chiefly is on small mammals and sometimes on birds, often killing more than it needs for food. It is less destructive to poultry than rats, which it helps to exterminate . The weasel secretes a strong smelling musk. there are least 36 species and sub species . |
